From National Diamonds to Digital Architecture

What competing in the National Softball Championships taught me about engineering leadership and discipline.

From National Diamonds to Digital Architecture
Before I was an engineer, I was a softball player. Representing Rajasthan in the National Championships (61st and 62nd SGFI) was a defining period of my life. ### Teamwork and Strategy In softball, success depends on every player knowing their role and executing perfectly under pressure. Software development is no different. A codebase is a team effort where modularity and clear interfaces are the key to victory. ### The Discipline of Practice The hours spent perfecting a pitch are the same hours I now spend debugging an aggregation pipeline. Discipline is the common thread that ties sports and engineering together.
